1. Grant of Warranty

Lumision warrants to the original consumer purchaser that this product will be free from material defects in workmanship and materials for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.

2. Mandatory Professional Installation

Warranty coverage is strictly conditional upon proper installation.

  • Professional Requirement: This product must be installed by a certified automotive electrician or a professional 12V installer. Lumision reserves the right to request proof of professional installation (e.g., a service invoice or work order) to process any warranty claim.
  • Self-Installation: Damage resulting from “DIY” (Do-It-Yourself) installation or installation by non-qualified personnel immediately voids this warranty.

3. “Off-Road Use Only” Advisory & Compliance

WARNING: Lumision Fuse Taps are designed and sold explicitly for OFF-ROAD VEHICLES ONLY.

  • They are not certified for use on public highways or street-legal vehicles.
  • The purchaser assumes full responsibility for complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding vehicle electrical modifications.
  • Lumision makes no representation that this product complies with DOT (Department of Transportation) or other regulatory standards for on-road vehicles.

4. Comprehensive Exclusions (Warranty Void)

This warranty does not cover, and Lumision shall not be liable for, defects or damage caused by:

  • Modifications: Any product that has been cut, spliced, soldered, crimped improperly, or physically altered from its original factory state.
  • Improper Fuse Usage:
    • Use of a fuse type inconsistent with the specific tap (e.g., forcing a Mini fuse into a Micro2 adapter).
    • Exceeding the maximum amperage rating of the fuse tap (as specified on the product packaging).
    • Installing the fuse in the wrong orientation regarding the “Hot” and “Load” sides of the fuse box.
  • Improper Installation: Damage caused by loose connections, short circuits due to poor grounding, or failure to use the included crimp connector properly.
  • Environmental Damage: Corrosion, water submersion, or heat damage resulting from installation in non-weatherproof areas of the vehicle.

5. Limitation of Liability & Assumption of Risk

READ CAREFULLY: By purchasing and using this product, the user agrees to the following:

  • “Own Use” Liability: Lumision acts solely as a parts supplier. We do not oversee the final application of the product. The user assumes all risks associated with the selection and use of this product for their specific application.
  • No Liability for Consequential Damages: Under no circumstances shall Lumision be liable for any incidental, indirect, special, or consequential damages. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Damage to the vehicle’s ECU, fuse box, wiring harness, or battery.
    • Fire, smoke, or thermal damage to the vehicle.
    • Damage to any device (dashcams, radar detectors, lights) powered by the fuse tap.
  • Liability Cap: Lumision’s total liability shall not exceed the actual purchase price of the defective product.

6. Warranty Claim Process

  1. Original Proof of Purchase.
  2. Proof of Professional Installation.
  3. Photographic evidence showing the product has not been modified or melted due to overload.
